Assistance dogs

Even if you don’t normally accept dogs in your hotel, B&B or self-catering space, the law states that you must accept Assistance Dogs if asked. These are highly trained dogs who carry out tasks and give alerts to support a wide range of disabled people and those with long-term medical conditions or impairments. The legislation is complicated and there are very few exceptions, so do have a look at https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/ and make sure you know what to say if a guest asks to bring an Assistance Dog with them.
